Good Shepherd Clinic Celebrates its THIRD ANNIVERSARY of Ministry
Good Shepherd Clinic invites YOU to an Open House in celebration of GSC's three (3) years of service. The open house will take place from 5:00p to 6:30p on Thursday, Feb. 23 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1020 State St. A brief program about this ecumenical health care ministry will begin at 5:45p. GSC is extremely grateful for your support and we would like to offer you this opportunity to visit with GSC board members and volunteers, tour the walk-in clinic and enjoy some refreshments.
GSC offers free quality medical care to the financially eligible Northern Hills residents, ages 19 to 64, who cannot afford medical care, do not have personal health insurance and do not qualify for other medical assistance. Almost 50% of the GSC patients have serious chronic illnesses that if left untreated, would magnify their health care issues thus contributing to the even more siginificant costs to society and health care entities.
Over 150 medical and non-medical volunteers at GSC are committed to the
walk-in clinic's mission, please join us in celebrating their success

Financials:
The Good Shepherd Clinic is a 501C3 corporation and is funded through community grants and individual gifts. There is no paid staff. The vast majority of funds are used to purchase medications, following a formulary, at Safeway and Wal-Mart Pharmacies. Other expenses are for malpractice and liability insurance and a limited amount of medical supplies.
Future Goals:
1) Maintain the clinic ministry by continuing to support medical volunteers and actively recruit additional volunteers.
2) Further develop partnership with area dentists to provide much needed dental care for patients.
